Prizes of Awesome

So, I have new prizes in mind for my caption contests. Each week that you participate your name will be entered once, and when you win it will be entered twice, into a monthly drawing. On the last Friday of every month a winner will be randomly selected and will thenceforth, made the proud owner of a fancy-pants coffee mug, tote-bag or a t-shirt bearing the image of your favorite captioned photo from my blog.

After all, who on this earth doesn't need another adorable coffee mug, tote bag, or comfy t-shirt?

You could also choose a copy of Martimus at Midnight, while they last. :)

Don't forget to enter this week's contest, which ends Wednesday night at midnight EST!

In book/writing news, I recently finished reading Rape Girl aloud to myself again after copy edits. I think this is at least the 3rd time I've read the entire thing aloud (and my bajillionth read-through total). I really think reading aloud is the best way to get the flow just right, and it's completely worth it, but boy was my throat sore...

After I finished reading I sent the whole shebang off for another round of copy edits that will focus on the parts written in Spanish.  I don't think I'll need another read aloud after those changes, though, because I can't speak Spanish properly, anyway. *hangs head*

All that to say: one more wee box on the Rape Girl to-do list is CHECKED.

What have you checked off your to-dos this week?

  1. I think that's pretty cool change in winning and prizes! I have a thing for mugs. ;)

I'm so excited about your progress on Rape Girl!!

Hmm, I checked do chem lab with kids and critique SF group-mate's story off my list, but the main thing I wanted to do - work on my story for the May Conference - isn't done yet.

    1. Thanks, Teresa! I also have a thing for mugs. I may have to make this a one-for-you, one-for-me sort of a thing. ;)

Those sound like major checks off the list! Nice work. As for the story, how about I sit here and poke you until you get it done? *pokes*

I never bite the hand that comments
