You remember when I posted my video about Tucson, right? Well that saga continues. There have been other great videos posted to the Banning History Blog, but this one, in particular, exposed the lunacy of the new laws and how they're more likely to accomplish the opposite of what the lawmakers intended. Brilliantly stated by Dr. Joe Sutliff Sanders, a Professor of Children's Literature at Kansas State University.
The same group of lawmakers is trying to push two more laws through, at the moment, that could yank additional worthy books from Tucson's classrooms. The slope becomes more slippery. What do you think about all this?
Also, don't forget today is the last day to submit a caption for Friday's photo! The winning caption will be posted tomorrow, 2/23. Teresa has gone unchallenged, so far. Albeit she does have intimidating skills. :)
