Riddle poem 2

Tomorrow's post is gonna be serious.  (Serious face with dimple: *<):i  )

Today's post, however, is just seriously hard.  I give you: Riddle Poem #2!


On a dish lay ten gold rings 
Ten birds swoop with silver wings
Each takes one and flies away
On the platter nine rings stay

How is this possible?

  2. Tee hee! If I hadn't written it, I'd probably feel the same. But when I tell you the answer, you'll think: "That was way simpler than I thought." :D

  7. Woodstock, Birdy Mays, that NRA Eagle, Big Bird, Daffy Duck, Donald Duck, Mother Goose, Toucan Sam, Tweety, Larry Bird, Chicken Little, Road Runner, Woody Woodpecker, Foghorn Leghorn, Lady Bird, The Stork, Bluebirds of Happiness, Early Birds, Angry Birds...
    This makes me miss and fondly remember my dad. He was my go-to riddle solver.
